CQC Practice Manager
Before becoming a practice manager, I had been a dental nurse for 18 years working in corporate dentistry. I was then promoted and have been within practice management for the past 5 years.
Dentistry has allowed me to gain in depth knowledge on compliance and health & safety. I strive to ensure that any practice I work in is working toward the highest standard of care that we can achieve.
I started at McGrath Dental in 2018, I am currently practice managing two sites being responsible for the smooth running of the practices where patient care is paramount and providing support to my colleagues. I work collaboratively with our Business Development Manager and the wider Portman Dental Care team to ensure smooth practice operations and support colleagues, always keeping patient care at heart.
When I am not working, I enjoy family time with my fiance, our children and grandchildren.
Business Development Manager
GDC no. 218764
In 2010 I began my Dental Nursing career whilst studying at Liverpool Dental Hospital. I am always keen to expand on my dental knowledge, I have successfully gained two post qualifications; Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography.
Before joining McGrath Dental, I took a break from the dental world and supported healthcare students across the North West. I found this a very rewarding job, but knew that I would always return to dentistry.
I joined McGrath Dental in 2016 and progressed to a Treatment Coordinator role. I am now looking forward to the new challenges ahead as Business Development Manager; engaging with external stakeholders and helping to develop our referral process alongside supporting and developing our team.
Outside of work, my time is spent with my husband and son on adventurous family days out!

I have been a Dental Nurse for over 10 years now (wow that has gone fast!). Most of my career has been spent working within NHS dental practices. However, in 2016 I felt the need for a change and joined McGrath Dental. I am really enjoying my experiences here, particularly in implant surgery! I am currently studying for my post qualification in dental radiography.
In my spare time I enjoy making memories with my husband and three children. I also like going for runs and keeping fit.

I am hoping to further my knowledge and gain my full qualification in the near future.
I have specialised in Oral Surgery, working at a local practice for seven years, I find this area of work very interesting!
I joined McGrath Dental in February 2017 as a Treatment Coordinator/ Dental Nurse, I enjoy the challenges the role brings along with getting to know the patients and follow them through their treatment journey.
Outside the practice I enjoy spending time with my husband and little girl. We are all looking forward to welcoming our newest addition to the family in September 2019.

I qualified as a dental nurse in 2007 and since then I have worked in both NHS and private practices. I took a break from dentistry for five years and worked within hospitality. I really enjoyed this time but I soon realised being a Dental nurse is my passion. I am hoping to further my dental knowledge and gain further qualifications to support my role in areas such as radiography and dental implants.
When I am not working I am a busy mum of two boys and together we enjoy the outdoor life making memories. Also when possible I enjoy going to the gym and socialising with friends and family.

I have already completed additional implant training since qualifying. I have aspired to become a Dental Assistant ever since I was a teenager; I just find all aspects of dentistry very interesting.
I am looking forward to furthering my skills and experiences and then may apply to study Dental Therapy at university.
In my spare time, I like to socialise with friends and family and I also love reading books and sports.
Dental Nurse & Receptionist
GDC No. 124156
Before joining dentistry, I worked in administration. Following this, in 2005 I began my dental nursing career at Liverpool Dental Hospital. Since qualifying I have worked in a very busy private and NHS practice.
Although I am still a registered dental nurse, I have decided to change my career path and focus more on administration again. I have worked hard for my dental nursing qualification, therefore wouldn’t like to give it up completely.
I would have to say that my family (particularly my daughter Scarlett and son Jett) are my most prized possession; including our two dogs Harley and Skyla.
I have always had an interest in Dentistry, qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 1979.
Over the years I have worked within the Community Dental Service, at NHS practices and for the past 19 years in Private Dentistry.
I have particularly enjoyed my time spent assisting with implant dentistry both surgically and for the restorative phase where crowns and bridges are placed onto the dental implants .
For just over 12 months now I have taken a step back from my nursing duties and I am spending more time doing both Practice administration and reception work.
I am excited to have found a new position at McGrath Dental & Implant Clinic as a receptionist and I am hoping to bring my extensive knowledge to this new post.
When not working, I enjoy spending holidays in sunny climates and I have a large family including 7 grandchildren who keep my busy in my spare time!
