Amanda Cass

Practice Manager
GDC no. 218764

In 2010 I began my Dental Nursing career whilst studying at Liverpool Dental Hospital. I am always keen to expand on my dental knowledge, I have successfully gained two post qualifications; Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography.

Before joining McGrath Dental, I took a break from the dental world and supported healthcare students across the North West. I found this a very rewarding job, but knew that I would always return to dentistry.

I joined McGrath Dental in 2016 and progressed to a Treatment Coordinator role. I then became Business Development Manager; engaging with external stakeholders and helping to develop our referral process alongside supporting and developing our team. I am now looking forward to the new challenges ahead as Practice Manager.

Outside of work, my time is spent with my husband and two children on adventurous family days out!

I have been a Dental Nurse for over 10 years now (wow that has gone fast!). Most of my career has been spent working within NHS dental practices. However, in 2016 I felt the need for a change and joined McGrath Dental. I am really enjoying my experiences here, particularly in implant surgery! I am currently studying for my post qualification in dental radiography.

In my spare time I enjoy making memories with my husband and three children. I also like going for runs and keeping fit.

Currently I am studying my first post qualification in Dental radiography. When not working, I am busy looking after my two children. If possible I like to go to the gym and socialise.

Dental Nurse
GDC NO. 115165

I qualified as a dental nurse in 2007 and since then I have worked in both NHS and private practices. I took a break from dentistry for five years and worked within hospitality. I really enjoyed this time but I soon realised being a Dental nurse is my passion. I am hoping to further my dental knowledge and gain further qualifications to support my role in areas such as radiography and dental implants.

When I am not working I am a busy mum of two boys and together we enjoy the outdoor life making memories. Also when possible I enjoy going to the gym and socialising with friends and family.

I began my Dental Nursing career in 2012, at the age of 18. From then I worked in a very busy NHS practice for 8 years. In 2020 I decided it was time for a change and joined McGrath Dental to widen my knowledge and experience in a private practice. I have experienced so much in the last 11 months working here at McGrath and cannot wait to see what the future holds.

Outside of work I enjoy being busy with my two children Daisy & Freddie and also socialising with my family and friends.

Dental Nurse
GDC NO. 272868

I started my journey as a trainee dental nurse in 2015, since then gaining my Level 3 Diploma with City and Guilds. During this time, I have been a part of NHS, private and mixed practices.

There are many different aspects of dentistry which keep me engaged with the industry. I have had the opportunity during my time as a nurse to work alongside Restorative Specialists, Orthodontists, Implantolgists, Surgical Specialists and more.

I have a keen interest in Orthodontic Nursing and wish to complete training which will provide me with the ability to extend my existing knowledge. Seeing patients’ reactions after a smile makeover, whether that be with braces or any other type of cosmetic correction; is something that sticks with you for a long time.

During my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends and family, drawing and spending time with my three dogs; Darcy, Daisy and Noah.

Madi Margerison

Trainee Dental Nurse

I am currently studying, my Level 3 dental nursing qualification at Wirral Metropolitan College. I became an apprentice in August 2021 and I am really enjoying learning about the profession so far. I want to qualify as a dental nurse because there are fantastic progression paths within the industry and I’ve always found it so interesting growing up.

I want to gain experience and will be looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge of a dental nurse then maybe go to university and study dentistry.

When I’m not studying or in work, I like spending time with friends and family or I am busy with ice-skating competitions.

Lead Receptionist

I started my career in Dentistry in 2005 at Liverpool Dental Hospital. I worked on all the different Wards over the 2 years I was there and also qualified as a Dental Nurse.

Following this I worked as a Nurse in a busy NHS and Private Practice for 10 years before joining McGrath Dental Team.

Although since joining McGrath I decided to change my career path and focus more on administration and I am now working on Reception. I thoroughly enjoy this and love getting to know all our patients.

In my spare time I love making memories with my husband and 2 children. We have a girl called Scarlett and a boy called Jett. We also have 2 dogs called Harley and Skyla who keep me very busy.
